The final match of the first round of the Masters Tournament between Satoshi and the Hoenn Champion Daigo begins. Satoshi’s Uonoragon initially goes up against Daigo’s Metagross, but Metagross is swapped for Bossgodora, who then proceeds to knock out Uonoragon. Satoshi’s Gangar slows down Daigo’s momentum by firing Bossgodora’s Rock Tomb back at it, resulting in Bossgodora’s defeat. However, Gangar is eventually taken out by Daigo’s Yuradle, giving Daigo his second lead of the battle. Pikachu is able to avenge his fallen teammates by eliminating Yuradle. In response, Daigo unleashes his Mega Metagross, but it is unable to withstand Pikachu’s 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt. Satoshi defeats Daigo, and he will move on to the next round to face Shirona.
