Satoshi and Go travel to the Alola region to participate in the Pokémon Capture Adventure Race. After they arrive, they are approached by two brothers who admire Satoshi. During this encounter, Go learns that Satoshi is the Alola region's Champion. The brothers introduce themselves as the Zenryoku Brothers and reveal that they are participating in the competition as well. The competition requires all participants to catch an Alolan Isitsubute, a Hagigishiri, and a Nagetukesaru. The race is interrupted by Rocket-dan, who are there to steal Satoshi's Pikachu. However, the Zenryoku Brothers foil their plans by having their Jyararanga use its newly perfected Z-move, and eventually rescuing the Pokémon that were captured.
