Saito's full team is revealed to be Kairiky, Luchabull, Otosupus, Kapoerer, Goronda, and Tairetsu. After eating some snacks that Corni had brought, Satoshi starts to develop a strategy for the battle that night, while Go wishes him good luck for the battle. Before the battle begins, Satoshi has his Mega Glove equipped to Mega evolve his Lucario, while Saito has her Dynamax band to Dynamax her Kairiky.
